Chief Sullivan’s

North Beach has plenty of Irish pubs.

This is the one I keep ending up at.

Chief Sullivan’s sits just far enough off Columbus that you can escape the madness for a little bit without actually leaving the neighborhood. It’s also right before the North Star/Boardroom corridor, so it’s a gem that’s easy to miss.

Good Guinness.

Good food.

Good bartenders.

Turns out that’s a great combo for a bar.

I’ve watched World Cup matches here, grabbed dinner before wandering through North Beach, and stopped in for one beer after work that somehow became four. Funny how that happens. I need different friends.

Chief Sullivan’s welcomes families, coworkers, soccer fans, first dates, regulars, somebody’s parents visiting from out of town…everyone seems to fit.

Certified Good Bar.
