San Francisco has a lot of bars.

Some are great. Some are trying way too hard. And some somehow have 4.8 stars despite making you want to leave after one drink.

Good Bars exists because the best bars in SF usually aren’t the loudest, trendiest, or easiest to find online. They’re the places locals end up returning to over and over again. The spots with actual personality, good conversations, strong drinks, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you accidentally stay longer than you planned.
