Vesuvio Cafe

This is a Good Bar.

If you have somehow made it this long without knowing what Vesuvio is, you should take a long look in the mirror.

And I’m not just saying that just because it’s famous and everyone you know has been there. It’s genuinely hard to miss. Not only does Vesuvio sit on one of the busiest intersections in SF, but the beautiful stained glass entrance is practically begging you to come inside. Or maybe that’s just me.

No, it’s not.

This place is the soul of SF. Funky, fun, crowded, chaotic, electricity.

There is an upstairs perfect for people watching. Small tables for dates, and a few bigger ones for groups. Don’t be surprised if you wait for a table for a bit. It’s worth it.

If you need a drink, roll up the sleeves and go get the bartender’s attention. They respect a confident and friendly tone.

It’s a landmark.

Certified Good Bar.
